Furniture industry gathers
Nearly 50,000 people from the global furniture and design industry recently descended upon downtown Las Vegas to learn the newest design trends, grow their companies and do business with 1,500 of the world's leading furnishing and design manufacturers. The Las Vegas Market at World Market Center, Sept. 14-17, is one of the center's two semi-annual gatherings of the global design industry. Located adjacent to Symphony Park, World Market Center Las Vegas is a planned 12 million square foot trade show complex. World Market Center is currently home to three completed buildings housing over five million square feet of exhibitor and showroom space. Designed by internationally renowned architect Jon Jerde, the World Market Center is an iconic architectural landmark that adds to the diverse and dramatic architecture of Symphony Park.
According to Dana Andrew, vice president of marketing and public relations, Symphony Park and World Market Center Las Vegas are great and synergistic neighbors. "When complete, Symphony Park will provide World Market Center visitors with great places to stay, dine, shop and be entertained - right across the street. Symphony Park will make the Las Vegas Market even more exciting and convenient for the world's design industry."
