Downtown Redevelopment

The creation of 13,000 jobs, a bustling cultural center and millions of dollars flowing to downtown Las Vegas in private investment and tax revenue are the goals and projections for the Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency’s (RDA) $4 billion redevelopment initiative.

The Redevelopment Area includes a parcel in Symphony Park to be developed by Forest City as the community’s only gaming property that will include a 47-story tower with retail, meeting space, restaurants, swimming pools and a spa in addition to the casino and 1,000-room hotel. Another important component of the Redevelopment Area is the new City Hall, which will anchor a five-block development of new office and retail space and the Regional Transportation Commission terminal that is currently under construction downtown.

Other significant projects of the Redevelopment Area include the new Mob Museum, hotel and retail space on the six city-owned acres west of the existing City Hall, reopening the Lady Luck casino, and transforming the existing City Hall site and adjacent lands into The Cordish Companies’ Las Vegas Live! development – a new sports arena, hotel, casino and entertainment district.
