WHAT’S UP DOWNTOWN

Home to the 18b Arts District and monthly multiblock party – First Friday – downtown is an epicenter of creative expression in Las Vegas. Many of our valley’s art galleries and exhibits are located downtown, and the area’s bars also provide regular opportunities for folks who want to take the microphone and express themselves through music and poetry in a variety of settings – from the intimate, friendly vibe at The Beat Coffeehouse to the fully loaded sound system on Las Vegas Country Saloon’s rock ‘n’ roll stage.                                           

If you’re an aspiring poet, singer or someone who just wants to have fun, check out these downtown hot spots that offer free opportunities to show the world what you’ve got:
