15th ANNUAL POWER OF LOVE GALA TO RAISE FUNDS TO TREAT MEMORY DISORDERS AND FIND CURES

POWER OF LOVE GALA
Keep Memory Alive, the fundraising arm of Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, holds its Power of Love gala on Saturday, February 26 at the Bellagio. Guests will enjoy exceptional cuisine from master celebrity chefs José Andrés, Michael Mina, Franҫois Payard and Wolfgang Puck, the best offerings from the wine world, celebrity entertainment and the opportunity to bid on luxurious auction items from jewelry to world travel.

Expect a star-studded affair including celebrities and local community leaders coming out to honor E. Parry Thomas, the financier who backed much of Las Vegas’ casino industry. As the organization exploring the last frontier of the body — the brain — Keep Memory Alive will toast Thomas’ pioneering character. Proceeds benefit Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, whose mission is to enhance treatments and research of neurocognitive disorders and to provide ongoing programming for caregivers.

Individual tickets to Power of Love range from $1,500 to $7,500 and are available at www.keepmemoryalive.org.  For more information, call (702) 263-9797 or poweroflove@keepmemoryalive.org .

SUMMIT ON EMPLOYEE CAREGIVING
A notable awareness-building event to be held at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center is “Taking Care of Business:  A Summit on Employee Caregiving.”  Representative Edward J. Markey, Massachusetts 7th Congressional District and founder and co-chair of the Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s, as well as Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC’s Hardball, will keynote the event.

The Caregiver Business Summit will be a forum for the Las Vegas business community to come together to gain insights into how to support employees who are caregivers while minimizing absenteeism, turnover, and other losses associated with caregiving (estimated at $17 billion annually).

The summit takes place on Friday, February 25 from 7:30 to 11:30am. Registration is $50 per person or $25 for employees of non-profit and government organizations. Information online at http://www.keepmemoryalive.org/Caregivers/Pages/CaregiverBusinessSummit.aspx. To register, contact Susan Hirsch, (702) 483-6023 or hirsch2@ccf.org.
