Holiday Spectacular at the Springs Preserve

Bathed in the glow of thousands of colorful, eco-friendly LED lights, the family friendly celebration features live holiday performances, tasty treats, holiday arts and crafts, train and reindeer (pony) rides for the little ones, photos with Santa, and for the first time, an ice-skating rink! Rumor has it there may even be a little snow.

$8 adults, $5 children (ages 5 to 12), free for children 4 and younger. Members save half off admission. Ice skating is $5 per 20-minute session. Visit www.springspreserve.org for details.

The Fremont Street Experience New Year’s Eve celebration is the ultimate street party with nonstop entertainment. The bash showcases two featured bands, Steel Panther and Rock Sugar, plus ten tribute bands throughout the evening.  

The party also includes a midnight countdown led by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and a fireworks display synchronized with virtual fireworks on Viva Vision that is part of the citywide celebration, “America’s Party: Las Vegas New Year 2012.”
