Las Vegas City Hall moves to new home
Between February 20-24, city of Las Vegas employees will move into a new City Hall. The new building, located at 495 S. Main St., between Main and First streets and Bonneville and Clark avenues, is an energy-efficient structure built to LEED® standards, reducing energy costs by more than $500,000 annually. The building, along with the Bonneville Transit Center, will anchor a five-block downtown redevelopment plan that includes new office and retail offerings.
As of Tuesday, February 21, the following departments will be located in the new City Hall:
City Clerk – Second floor
City Attorney’s Office – Sixth floor
City Auditor – Sixth floor
Human Resources – Second floor
Economic and Urban Development – Sixth floor
Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services – Fifth floor
As of Monday, February 27, all departments, including those listed below, will be located in the new City Hall:
Administrative Services – Seventh floor
City Manager – Seventh floor
Communications – Seventh floor
Cultural Affairs – Fourth floor
Finance – Fourth floor
Information Technologies – Fifth floor
KCLV – First floor
Mayor and City Council – Seventh floor
Sewer Bill Payments – Fourth floor
Beginning March 7, 2012, Las Vegas City Council meetings will take place at the new City Hall.
Directions and Parking
The parking garage is located on the west side of Main Street between Bonneville and Clark avenues at 500 Main St. Visitors will receive a ticket upon entering the garage. Before leaving the facility, payment should be made by visiting one of the payment machines located on the ground floor by the elevators. Payment machines accept cash and Visa/MasterCard debit and credit cards. Once the parking fee has been paid, the ticket will be returned and will need to be used to exit the garage.
